After Friday’s ceremonial start and the night city special stage, which was dominated by the Austrian Simon Wagner, the two-day race took place with eight other special stages on the four sections of Březová, Kateřinice, Rajnochovice and Bunč and two passes. The last and longest one didn’t happen in the end.

RZ9 BUNČ
The ninth special stage was cancelled. This was done for safety reasons, a storm had passed over the area. After the first day, the bee of the race is Dominik Stříteský, who has a lead of 21 seconds over the Austrian Simon Wagner. Third place is defended by Adam Březík with a loss of 45 seconds.
“Today went great. We have a stage victory, which I am very happy about given the conditions. It was successful,” says Dominika Stríteský.

“The stage could definitely have been better, we made a lot of mistakes. Mainly me a few stupid things. We spent a lot of time coaching. We are not satisfied,” Adam Březík says flatly.
“The second section was great from the start. A bad decision with the rubber cost us very valuable time. It will be very difficult tomorrow,” guesses Erik Cais in a response to the official social networks of Barumka.

RZ8 RAJNOCHOVICE
The rain spoke to the race. The new conditions suited Stříteský best, who won the erzeta for the first time at this year’s Barumka. He left Wagner three and a half seconds behind, Pole Marczyk finished third. The fourth Březík had a loss of almost 15 seconds on the current leader. Cais was 41 seconds behind.
Out of the game for a good position is the leading man of the European Championship, Paddon, who suffered a puncture on the track. He is looking at the first place with a distance of four and a half minutes. Kopecký appeared off the track and gained another 23 seconds loss.
RZ7 KATEŘINICE
Erik Cais won already on the fifth erzeta. The native of Fryšták in Kateřinice gave two and a half seconds to the Austrian Wagner, another 1.2 seconds to Jan Kopecká and 4.5 seconds to Dominik Stříteský.
The 25-year-old rider loses only 4.2 seconds to the first Stříteský. He lost almost a quarter of a minute from the first Březová.
“We lost a lot more here than we wanted to. However, we still have some head start,” Stríteský knows well.
RZ6 BIRCH
In the afternoon, Březová offered an extremely exciting spectacle. The fourth test was mastered by Cais, who, however, shared this first place with Březík with a completely identical time of 7:30.8. Kopecký was just a tenth of a second behind them.
Erik Cais once again closed the gap on Dominik Stříteský (fourth in this RZ), currently only 8 seconds and 7 tenths behind him. Marczyk (now ninth) and Neubauer (now tenth) only swapped positions in the top ten.
RZ5 BUNČ
The first half of the Saturday exams are behind us. Things were happening on the last one. Erik Cais once again flew like the wind and won the third RZ of this year’s barumka. The second Dominik Stříteský was behind him by 5.4 seconds, the Austrian Simon Wagner by 7.6 seconds.
The biggest event was the puncture of eleven-time champion Jan Kopecky, who lost almost two and a quarter minutes. Adam Březík was clocked, he had a deficit of over 23 seconds on Cais.
“It happened on gravel, which is quite loose and has big rocks coming out of it. One was on the track and I ran into it. That’s what a rally is,” Kopecký realizes.
“It’s difficult, demanding, especially now on Bunča. Like Honza, we had a puncture, fortunately a smaller one, just three or four kilos before the finish line,” recounts Stříteský.
Before the next races, Stříteský leads by 10 seconds ahead of Cais, the third Wagner loses over 16 seconds. The fourth Březík is chasing the current leader by almost half a minute. Franceschi and Mareš still fit within 30 seconds.
Jírovec crashed at the test, the RZ was then cancelled. The remaining crews were given spare time behind those who passed.

RZ4 RAJNOCHOVICE
The fourth special stage waved with the order. The leader Adam Březík drove with a flat tire, dropped to third place with a loss of 10.7 seconds to the leading competitor. This is Dominik Stříteský, who finished second on this track. Kopecký is less than a second behind him. Erzeta was once again controlled by Cais.
“I’m thinking about where the defect could have occurred,” thought Březík after the unintended defect.
“It’s a crazy track, really fast with a few jumps. We had a good time,” boasted Stříteský.
“I can’t even imagine what it must have looked like in Erika’s car during the drive,” snapped Spaniard Llarena before Cais’s fast drive in this erzeta.
In addition to Březík, Armstrong and Marczyk also had a defect. Molle even crashed.
RZ3 KATEŘINICE
In the order of the third RZ, Cais took over. In Kateřinice, he left Stříteský behind by two and a half seconds, Kopecký finished third. Březík was more than four seconds behind Cais.
“It’s amazing that I can introduce myself to the audience first. There are two very good tracks ahead of us now, I’m really looking forward to them,” admits Cais, who dominated qualifying. So far he is the eleventh.
Nothing changes at the forefront of the running race. Adam Březík leads Jan Kopecký by 0.5 seconds, Stríteský is 2.4 seconds behind the leading man. Sixth place is guarded by Filip Mareš, ninth by Hayden Paddon.

RZ2 BIRCH
Adam Březík won the first heat on Saturday, Jan Kopecký was 1.4 seconds behind him. Dominik Stríteský is currently also on the box, who is 4.3 seconds behind the current leader.
“We started well, I feel good about it. Now we have to follow up on it,” says Březík.
The fourth fastest time was set by Erik Cais, due to the 20-second penalty from Friday’s city test however, he is only fourteen. So far, Simon Wagner and Filip Mareš are in the elite five.
