A new fatal traffic accident occurred in BOAK, in the area of Galata Chania, on Saturday morning.
According to the first information transmitted by cretalive.gr, a collision between a minivan and a car took place. As a result of the collision, four people, all Greeks, were trapped in the vehicle and the assistance of the Fire Department was needed to extricate them.
Cretalive’s information states that unfortunately two people were pulled out unconscious, while the other 2 were seriously injured and taken to the Chania Hospital.
According to the same sources of information, there were 19 people in the minivan, who were not seriously injured, but have bruises.
How the car accident happened
Initial reports indicate that the collision occurred when, under circumstances that are being investigated, one vehicle veered off its course and into oncoming traffic.
It is recalled that on Friday afternoon another traffic accident took place, again in BOAK, in the area of Siso, when a 58-year-old woman, a passenger on the motorcycle, was fatally injured in the collision between a motorcycle and a truck, while the 55-year-old driver is being treated at the Venizelio Hospital of Heraklion.
