And an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 occurred off the east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula from Russia – tsunami warning being issued.

The earthquake was recorded at a depth of around 51 km, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center said.

However, the USGS said the impact could be limited in terms of possible landslides.

It also predicted a “low probability” of casualties from the earthquake.
