Fine wines, great programs, good friendly conversations and professional information from excellent producers complete the event on the Danube, and after the great success of the first day, fans of special experiences and pleasure will be warmly welcomed Saturday!
Last year, the Dunakeszi Program office “built the foundations of another popular community program with the opening of the Dunakeszi Wine Promenade, which this year on August 16-17 awaits those who love delicious wine and friendly conversations and professional. Fans of culinary pleasures can also taste excellent wines from seven famous wineries that grow and make wine. In the sweltering heat, as well as the cooling shade of the large trees of the open beach on the Danube, the thirst of the guests was perfectly quenched by the rich selection of tasty, juicy wines. A pleasant musical program raised the mood of the guests while they ate the delicacies of the famous winemakers.
The bright spot of the event is the bright color of the two presenters – Zsófia Kundlya, municipal representative responsible for public relations, and Miklós Fejes – who conducted excellent “mini-interviews” with the winemakers. We were able to experience the intricacies of grape cultivation and winemaking, the professional process, and as a result we can sip the golden, silky juice with great pleasure…
Among the exhibitors this year, we can also meet the owner and winemaker of Dunakeszi’s only local vineyard, Vilmos Guttmann. The owner of Guttmann Borház, the popular viticultural engineer – who is known for his love of poems and poetry – spoke again with literary sophistication about the beauty of a vineyard and a winemaker with different struggles. The winemaker, who is loved throughout the town as Uncle Vili, said that they can make high-quality wine this year as well, because the sugar level is adequate and the grape harvest of the year is -sa healthy. The horticultural engineer said that one of his important plantations is located on the border of Dunakeszi, which was planted 40 years ago. The other vineyard is located in the famous Vác area, on the famous Törökhegy rising above the town. We learned from a winemaker who also influenced the presenters that he prefers Zalagyöngy, Pölöske Muscat and Zweigel among the grape varieties. One of Bácsi Vilmos’ favorite wines is the rosé made from Zweigelt, which, as he says, “is the result of the love of the eternal harmony of the local valley and the local sun.”
“Roland Hajdú brought the wines of the Bükki wine region to the wine tour. The potential wine area between Tokaj and Eger is 17,800 hectares, with 800 hectares still growing grapes. In this wine category, the white varieties with more ripening potential give the highest quality (chardonnay, Italian Riesling, Furmint), to which the spicy varieties Zenit, Zengő and Cserszeg grow well. As for blue grapes, kékfrankos, zweigelt, pinot noir, and cabernet franc seem to be the main factor driving the wine sector,” the winemaker’s statement was summarized by dunakeszipost.hu.
The two presenters also asked Roland Hajdú about making organic wine and his strict set of rules, who also revealed that their relationship with Dunakeszi was established through the local shop Bormánia.
This year, participants can taste the best wines of Lajvér Winery, Feind Winery, Bükki Borok, Holdvölgy Birtok, Sauska Winery, Tamás Lelovits from Villány and the only local producer, Guttmann Winery.
During the rest of the evening, the productions of acoustician Gabi Torzsa, bar pianist Gábor Fűzi and DJ Andrew J. made tasting the wine even more enjoyable.
Entry to the event is free, but wine consumption requires the purchase of a special wine or sparkling glass.
