There is a clash between two Hollywood veterans: Director Quentin Tarantino recently caused a stir with his comments about film star George Clooney. Now Clooney has personally commented on the situation. In an interview, the actor defended himself and lashed out at Tarantino.
George Clooney’s career in the film industry began in the 1980s. Appearances in horror films such as Grizzly II: Revenge and Return to Horror High were among his first projects. Big blockbusters such as “Batman & Robin” and “Ocean’s Eleven” brought the American international fame. Most recently, for example, he made a cameo appearance in The Flash.
Another film with Clooney that was recently released was the action comedy “Wolfs” by Jon Watts. In it, the two fixers Jack (George Clooney) and Nick (Brad Pitt) are forced to work together after they are both hired for the same job. In an interview with GQ Clooney spoke about Wolfs and vented his frustration with director Quentin Tarantino.
According to Clooney, Tarantino claimed that the actor was not a “real movie star.” Clooney contradicted this statement and referred to his projects of the last few years. In fact, Clooney and Tarantino had already worked together in the horror action film “From Dusk Till Dawn.” In which interview Tarantino is said not to have called Clooney a real movie star is, according to The Hollywood Reporter unknown. However, it would not be the first time that Tarantino caused a stir with statements about actors.
