The comedy scene in that Mohanlal film that I physically struggled with the most: Jagadish
Vandanam is a film born out of the Priyadarshan-Mohanlal collaboration and has great replay value even today. Mohanlal, Mukesh, Sukumari, Jagadeesh and other big stars of the film are comedy scenes that make the audience laugh even today.
Jagadish says that this was the most difficult scene in his career and it was very tough physically. Jagadish said that it took twice the time to shoot as seen in the film. He was speaking to Red FM.
“The comedy scene in the film Vandanam was the most difficult for me physically. I did that running scene in Vandanam with great difficulty. The shooting time for that scene is twice as many minutes as what the audience sees in the film now.
It will be shot from 7:30 to 9:00 every morning. In good light, in the hustle and bustle of Bangalore. We eat after it burns. So what you see on the screen is what was shot for a few days. It was also shot in Chennai city.
Therefore, the events that were shot every morning can be seen for an hour or two in that film. Then I took everything that was floating in the air tied on a wire.
Then everyone asks about sitting on the wire on that bicycle without a seat. Actually most of it has to be acting. But it’s not a camera trick.
There was no such thing as unbearable pain. But it was not a pleasant pain,’ said Jagadish.
