Slovak actor Ľubomír Paulovič died

The actor withdrew from public life some time ago due to health problems. “It’s no secret that my little heart makes me angry, so I had to slow down the pace of life. I have to do regular rehabilitation exercises, follow certain procedures and a health program,” revealed the actor in one of the last interviews.

Paulovič was born in the village of Prašice in the district of Topoľčany. He graduated from the University of Performing Arts in Bratislava and in 1972 joined the Slovak National Uprising Theater in Martina. In 1984, he became a member of the Slovak National Theatre. He left the first stage in 1996 and was the artistic director of the Jozef Gregor Tajovský Theater in Zvolen.

In addition to acting, he also directed theater and television. In 2006, he was elected mayor of his native village of Prašice.

Paulovič starred in a hundred television titles and in thirty feature films. Czech viewers could see him, for example, in the films Night Riders (1981), Let There Be Light (2019) or Kajínek (2010). He also starred in the action film Peacemaker (1997) with George Clooney and Nicole Kidman.
