The Spaniard is a reinforcement for Atenas de Córdoba for the next season of La Liga Nacional.
Toni, as he is known, is an experienced center who has already played in our National League, playing for Argentino de Junín in the 2020/21 season and for Instituto in 2022 where he was champion. He also played for teams in his country, as well as in Austria, France, Iceland and Colombia. Now he comes from playing for Palma Básquet Mallorca where he is from.
With this signing, the management is betting on a player who knows our competition and our city, seeking a better and faster adaptation.
After signing his contract with the Greek club, he said: “First of all, I want to thank the club for trusting me and secondly, for giving me the great opportunity to return to La Liga, which made me very happy and brought out the best version of myself. I am looking forward to travelling to Córdoba to meet my teammates and the entire team staff. I am also looking forward to meeting the fans. I am going to give everything for this club to try to fulfil all of the objectives.”
In total, Athens already has eight of the nine possible top spots. The management will evaluate whether to use the remaining one now or reserve it for later.
