Vorsprung Online – Controls in Hanau: Parcel delivery man with cocaine in his blood, novice driver 50 km/h too fast

A 31-year-old parcel delivery man who was checked by the police was apparently under the influence of drugs during his delivery trip. The preliminary drug test carried out on the man from Frankfurt was positive. The police found around two grams of drugs, presumably cocaine, on him. He is facing criminal proceedings on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, among other things.

Later that night, officers carried out speed checks on Aschaffenburger Strasse near Pioneer Park. In total, they checked 67 vehicles, with nine drivers exceeding the speed limit. Four of them will now receive points on their vehicle register.

The sad leader of the evening was an 18-year-old man from Hanau on probation who was clocked at over 100 km/h outside built-up areas, when the speed limit was 50 km/h. The officers also received support during their investigation from a drug-sniffing dog. This was used on and in the vehicle of a 24-year-old man who was presumably under the influence of drugs. No drugs were found. However, it turned out that the person being checked did not have a valid driver’s license. He was taken to the police station for a blood sample and other police measures.
