Skydance studio, which specializes in developing virtual reality (VR) video games, released a new trailer for Behemoth yesterday. A title that mixes action and adventure in a fantasy world invaded by giant monsters. It is on the Meta Quest YouTube channel that 11,000 viewers have viewed these new images. The latter arouse enthusiasm and suspicion since the video released was recorded on a computer and not directly from the headset used. On the other hand, this new communication from Skydance raises the question: where is the GTA San Andreas in VR that it is working on?

Three years of silence
However, should we be worried? GTA San Andreas VR was announced during a Facebook event in October 2021 and was planned for Meta Quest 2. Still online, the blog post that time then describes the project as “a project of several years”. Meta was then “eager to show more”. Except that since then, nothing. It seems that Skydance and/or Meta’s priorities are elsewhere, like this title called Behemoth.
It must be said that if Rockstar, the founding studio of the GTA saga, is also involved in the project, it is easy to understand that the schedule does not lend itself to it. For almost a decade, GTA 6 has often been the subject of mockery concerning an increasingly late release. However, the sixth numbered part of the saga is indeed coming. It is in 2025, without further official information, that fans of the franchise will be able to get their hands on it.. And to say that it will be a video game behemoth when it comes out is more than an understatement.
