PSG is the big favorite to win Ligue 1
PSG is definitely the strongest team in Ligue 1. The club has the largest budget, which is clearly reflected in the league table. In the last twelve seasons, the Parisians have won ten championship titles.

PSG’s Title Chances and Ligue 1 Relegation
The BETSiE supercomputer calculated that PSG has a 92.4% chance of winning the French championship title. The second team in the ranking, Monaco, received a result of only 4.8%. The podium is completed by Olympique Lyon, which received 1.1%.
According to calculations, the main favorites for relegation are Angers. In addition, St. Etienne and Auxerre are supposed to be involved in the fight for survival.

How are BETSiE calculations made?
The predictions developed are the result of a combination of several factors. BETSiE is mainly based on match data, such as goals scored and conceded, the number of shots and shots on target – both those taken and those against a given team. Based on this information, the supercomputer predicts the results of all matches in the season, also based on the expected goals ratio (xG).
BETSiE is not limited to this data, however. The simulations also include information from Transfermarkt, including the overall values of teams and individual players, which allows for even more detailed analysis.
