Ten years after entering remission, samantha harris revealed that she has breast cancer again.

She says she made a healthy choice to help prevent her second breast cancer diagnosis from being worse than it is. “These are the changes we make in our daily lives to fight off disease, and I think the changes I’ve made have made this grow a lot slower and reduce the spread, and I’m starting a journey with the next one,” she said.
“I honestly can’t believe it, but I will do it and I wanted to share it with all of you,” she said before thanking her family and friends, her husband, Michael Hesseand to her two daughters, Josselyn, 16, and Hillary, 13, for their support.

“[My daughters were] 3 and 6 only [the time of my] first audition 10 years ago,” Harris shared. But now that I’m 13 and 16, [I’m] having to share with them in a completely different way, and I couldn’t be more proud of how incredibly strong and wonderfully supportive they have been.”
She ended her news with an encouraging note that read: “I will continue to support you all as I continue to live the best life I can. And I will see you soon and share more with you soon. Love you guys.”
According to Thursday instagram postHarris said he received a biopsy of a lesion he had been eyeing after a recent trip to Croatia. “I’m thankful I was awake. I had the scans and thankfully they were all clear of metastasis,” he said in the video, which shows clips and photographs from the vacation and the surgery at home. “That was a big concern for me.”
