Marianne and Michael are considered the dream couple of pop music. With songs like “I’m in love with Munich”, “Zillertal Wedding March” and “Wann beginnt endlich d’ Musi an” they have shaped an entire generation. But in December 2023 the shocking news came: They will end their careers! Before they leave the big stage, they will give one very last concert.
Marianne and Michael perform again
Marianne and Michael actually gave their last official concert on April 28th in Suhl (Thuringia). But now the couple’s fans can look forward to another performance! On the second Sunday of the Oktoberfest (September 29th) they will sing at the traditional open-air concert together with the Munich Oktoberfest musicians.

“This is an accolade and a great honor. But it will definitely be our last public concert,” Marianne explains to “Bild”. She adds: “As a true Munich native, I feel very honored to be singing in front of Bavaria in Munich at the end of our career. We love Bavaria, and we’re staying here.”
