On November 9, a special concert “Putāns. Toreiz und Tagad”, in which the rebellious spirit of the Latvian poet Seimans Putāns in the 20th century will be represented in a contemporary hip-hop decoration, with the participation of musicians such as Ługa, Ansis and Gustavo.

Concert “Putāns. The creative director of the program “Then and Now” is the Latvian rapper and producer of “Ausmeņa Records” Łga (Daiga Barkāne), and the musical accompaniment is created by Nikita Grapp (“Ausmeņa Records). The guests of the concert will experience contemporary interpretations of the poetry of Seimans Putans (1892-1969) both in the original Latvian language and also in Latvian interpretations. Several poems are adapted to recite a hip-hop (musical) beat. “The poetry of the poet Latgale Putān, surrounded by legends and always going against the system, will be restarted in a new sound – clear, inspiring and direct. The rebellious spirit of the past will merge with the present,” the show’s authors say.

Jānis Skutelis or Dekšārietis chose this nickname for himself in honor of his Latgalian roots. “In a short time, a concert will be held three times.
