Youngster Endrick recently caused a stir in an interview when he declared that he thought Jude Bellingham was better than Neymar. The 18-year-old is now being ridiculed and mocked by former Brazilian international Jose Ferreira Neto.
This season, Endrick has been able to prove himself among the big players and compete with stars such as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham. The youngster recently spoke highly of the Englishman and even put him above his compatriot Neymar when asked which of the two was better.
After the two Brazilians Raphinha (FC Barcelona) and Thiago Silva (Fluminense) already made fun of the statements and commented on the corresponding video with some laughing smileys, Endrick is now also being ridiculed by former Brazilian international Jose Ferreira Neto.
“Endrick knows nothing about football,” he rages on the show Os Donos da Bola. “How can he compare Bellingham to Neymar? I have to say that I am not a fan of Neymar, but my children admire him.” It is simply “ridiculous” to put the Englishman above Neymar. “Neymar is far superior.”

Neto sharply criticizes Endrick
But that wasn’t all, Neto also criticized his compatriot for another recent statement. When asked about his idols, the 18-year-old named Sir Bobby Charlton, who died in October 2023. Although the Englishman is undoubtedly one of the greatest striker legends of all time, his best days were between 1950 and 1970, long before Endrick’s time.
“He’s trying to be funny, just calls himself Bobby Charlton. He probably doesn’t even know who Bobby Charlton is and thinks it’s a brand of cigarettes or something,” Neto rants, suspecting a joke from the ten-time Brazilian international. Real paid Palmeiras a whopping 47.5 million euros and gave the prodigy a contract until 2030.
