BOSTON (AP) — Wyatt Langford tied the score with a three-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning, and Jonah Heim added a two-run shot in the 10th as the Texas Rangers beat the Boston Red Sox 9-7 on Wednesday night. Heim’s homer came on the first pitch from reliever Zach Kelly (4-2) and drove in automatic runner Ezequiel Duran to avoid a sweep in the three-game series. Langford hit his seventh homer of the season, facing Josh Winckowski, who led off the ninth inning by giving up consecutive singles to Corey Seager and Josh Smith. Both scored on Langford’s shot. Matt Festa (1-1) got the win. Kirby Yates earned his 21st save of the season, pitching a scoreless 10th inning. Texas, the champion of the last World Series, ended a three-game losing streak and won for just the fifth time in its last 18 games. For the Rangers, Cuban Adolis García went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Dominicans Durán went 0-for-1 with one run scored, Leody Taveras went 2-for-4 with one RBI. For the Red Sox, Mexican Jarren Duran went 1-for-5. Venezuelan Wilyer Abreu went 1-for-5 with one run scored and one RBI. Dominican Rafael Devers went 1-for-4 with one run scored.
