Prabowo’s closest person will be the Garuda Commissioner

Jakarta –

State airline Garuda Indonesia today held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS). Shareholders at EGMS agreed to appoint retired TNI officer Genny Kairupan as commissioner to end the company’s current management structure.

“With commissions in addition to the company’s management structure, it is hoped that the acceleration of the company’s performance can further strengthen to promote Garuda Indonesia to become a healthy and profitable business group,” said Garuda Indonesia President Director, Irfaniaputra, Thursday (15). /8/2024).

Irfan also said that the strengthening of Garuda Indonesia’s management formation with different professional backgrounds is expected to be in line with the corporate strategy to provide added value to full service flights for service users.

Genny Kairupan, who is the new commissioner of Garuda, is said to be a close friend of Prabowo. He had a political career after joining the Gerindra Party, and even participated in the 2015 North Sulawesi Governor Election and also the 2019 Legislative Election.

Therefore, the current members of the Board of Commissioners of Garuda Indonesia are as follows:

* Chief Commissioner and Independent Commissioner: Fadjar Prasetyo
* Commissioner: Chairman Tanjung
* Independent Commissioner: Timur Sukirno
* Commissioner: Genny Kairupan

The members of the Board of Directors of Garuda Indonesia that have not undergone any change are as follows:
* Chief Director: Irfaniaputra
* Director of Finance and Risk Management: Prasetio
* Marketing Director: Ade R. Susardi
* Executive Director: Tumpal Manumpak Hutapea
* Technical Director: Rahmat Hanafi
* Director of Human Capital and Corporate Services: Enny Kristen
