Ebersbach/Dresden. The Dresden lawyer Stefan Kahnt from the Pluta business law firm is, at least for the time being, in charge of the tool manufacturer Behla in Ebersbach in the Meißen district. The Dresden District Court appointed him as provisional insolvency administrator on August 6th.

According to the court’s announcements, Kahnt now has control over the assets of Behla-Werkzeugbau Kunststoffteile und Sonderfertigung GmbH. He is authorized to “accept bank deposits and other funds.” The company is a debtor and may only dispose of its assets with his consent. However, an immediate appeal was lodged against this decision.

The roots of the company go back to 1955, when the father of the current managing director and sole shareholder founded the company. In 2001, daughter and son took over the company, from then on trading as Werkzeugbau Behla GmbH & Co. KG. But that company went bankrupt in 2018, and the last published financial statements are from 2020. Finally, in 2022, the family business was re-established in the form of the GmbH, which is now also provisionally insolvent. According to the company’s website, it has 14 employees.
