The exhibition displays paintings and sculptures by six artists from the Palencia collective
The Palencia Association of Plastic Artists “Thieldón” and the CleceVitam San Francisco Residence are collaborating again this month with the exhibition “Artists of our land”, which opens this Wednesday 14th at 6:30 p.m.
An exhibition that arises from the collaboration agreement signed a year ago between this entity and the association of Palencia artists, in which paintings by Begoña of Elorduy, Jose Maria Paniagua, Jaime Perez y Paula de Miguel, along with the work of the sculptors Carlos Mediavilla y Jose CastrilloIt will be open during the months of August and September, in the morning, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and in the afternoon, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The exhibition hall is located on Ignacio Martínez de Azcoitia street and is part of the new complex of the residence for the elderly located in the old house of the Society of Jesus. The management of the complex “welcomed with great enthusiasm Thieldón’s proposal and initiative to use a room of the facilities located in the courtyard and gardens as an exhibition space. It is also worth noting that since its opening this residence has had a permanent exhibition of Antonio de la Peña”, recalls the Association of Plastic Artists of Palencia “Thieldón”.
The CleceVitam San Francisco senior residence could easily pass for a museum, as it is located in one of the most architecturally unique buildings in the centre of the capital of Palencia. Built in 1919, this modernist-style palace has recently been renovated to house a modern senior residence, equipped with the best comforts and facilities, allowing its residents the chance to enjoy the city centre outdoors, without losing the opportunity to participate in the cultural and social environment of Palencia.
Extension of the exhibition at the Cathedral
On the other hand, Thieldón has announced that the exhibition “Claustro, panda Oeste”, located in the cloister of the Cathedral of San Antolín, will be extended until September 2 “due to the great success achieved”. This exhibition includes the work of 27 painters and sculptors from Palencia from the association.
