A drunk father races down the highway at 272 km/h. On board: his son and two nephews. The police catch him.
Hof – A man is said to have driven drunk and accompanied by his son and two nephews at a speed of 272 kilometers per hour on the highway. The 39-year-old was traveling in Hof on Monday (12 August) with his eight-year-old son and his 16- and 23-year-old nephews, according to the police. Due to the extreme speed and screeching tires, a witness reported the license plate number to the police.

When police drove to the man’s address, the 39-year-old’s wife asked him to come home. When the car arrived, the 39-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat while his 23-year-old nephew was driving the vehicle. However, police secured a cell phone video that showed the 39-year-old driving at high speed on Autobahn 9.

An alcohol test on the man showed a blood alcohol level of 2.3 per mille. The police confiscated his driver’s license and launched an investigation, including for drunk driving and other traffic offenses.
