James Cameron Confirms He Will Direct Avatar 4 and 5: ‘They Have to Stop Me!’

There are only a handful of directors who can be as successful as James Cameron, as he is the Canadian filmmaker who created the Avatar series and the man in the director’s chair on Titanic as well. Given that Cameron is 69 years old and likely to spend several years making a film, many have wondered if he will step aside and pass on directing duties for the upcoming Avatar 4 and 5 come to someone else, instead of working with the series for the next one. ten years and until he looks like he’s in his 80s. That will certainly not be the case as it seems.

In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter Cameron confirms that he plans to direct Avatar 4 and 5, saying: “Sure. I mean, they have to stop me. I have a lot of energy, I love doing what I do. Why wouldn’t I? And they’re written, by the way. re – read them both a month ago. They are good stories.

So assuming that outside events don’t affect Cameron, we can expect the director to continue pumping out Avatar movies, and his recently confirmed the upcoming Terminator project too.
