– she said.

A moment later, Monika Sikora, fearing that her words might not be fully understood, clarified her statement regarding drag queens.
– Of course, we are talking about situations where children have the right to express themselves. If it is a situation in which they discuss with their parents, in which they are in a safe environment, then it is an individual matter. It is not about having a drag queen in every school, but about making certain solutions possible for these children. So that it is not the case that we are promoting here and that I am calling for it, but it seems to me that in certain circumstances – she explained.
Then Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka, who took part in the demonstration, spoke on the emotional issue. The mayor of Gliwice stated that she does not want drag queens to be imposed in schools. “It is families and children who decide who they want to be,” she said.
Who is the drag queen?
A drag queen is usually a man who parodies a woman, most often a famous artist, a diva. He imitates her gestures, facial expressions. He performs in provocative, kitschy costumes. He dances. A drag queen must be very feminine, flirts with the audience, tells jokes, often with sexual overtones. He rarely really sings. Most often, he moves his lips to the words of a famous hit.
