A three-year-old Dutch boy who got lost in Forte dei Marmi, Versilia, was found by the municipal police.
It happened yesterday morning, a note explains, when a couple of Dutch parents on holiday in Forte dei Marmi approached a municipal police officer on duty, on foot, near Piazza Marconi, asking for help in finding their three-year-old son, who had gotten lost while the two were distracted for a few seconds by looking at the shop windows. The officer did his best to calm the parents, who were visibly worried, and asked them to provide a detailed description of the child, in particular of the clothes he was wearing when he disappeared.
The patrols in the area were alerted through the operations center and the police station was notified, and within a few minutes the happy epilogue arrived. In fact, the municipal police command had received a report from a passerby who had spotted a small child walking alone on the sidewalk of Via Carducci, near a hotel, and had stopped to help him.
The little boy, scared and lost also because he does not speak or understand Italian, while waiting for the arrival of the municipal police patrol that was accompanying his father to the place of the report, was hosted by a family living nearby. The tension dissolved in a hug and a liberating cry between the father and the son and in seeing the joy of the reunited family even the officers who had contributed to the search were moved.
