The Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Salernoas part of the strengthening of the device to combat tax evasion and undeclared work, has intensified controls with the aim of blocking, among other things, the trade of unsafe and potentially dangerous items for the health of buyers. The Guardia di Finanza of Consilina Hallfollowing a preliminary analysis activity, in the last few days they carried out an inspection at a commercial establishment inside which they found, on various shelves, household items, stationery and costume jewelleryfreely displayed or otherwise held for sale, of dubious regularity.
From a more careful examination of the goods, it emerged that they did not comply with the provisions of the Consumer Code as they lacked the minimum identifying information such as data relating to the manufacturer/importer, the country of origin, the nature of the materials used for their production, the instructions and precautions for use, which by law must be present on the packages or on the respective labels, in a visible, legible manner and in Italian.
In fact, the presence of such indications guarantees the quality of the product that the customer is purchasing and, above all, its use in complete safety. Having ascertained the aforementioned discrepancies, the Salesian Finance Police have therefore subjected the product to administrative seizure about 25,000 articles and the owner of the business who risks a pecuniary sanction that can exceed the 25mila euro.
