The Steyr hoteliers have already appointed over 200 regular guests as “Steyr ambassadors”. These Steyr ambassadors receive a Steyr Card every year, are constantly informed of news and can look forward to special birthday and Christmas wishes.
From 2 – 4 August 2024, the tourism association invited to the “8th Steyr Ambassador Meeting”
STEYR. Almost 50 guests accepted the invitation to Steyr and enjoyed a varied program. On Friday, the event began with a guided tour in the footsteps of Anton Bruckner and a visit to the Bruckner exhibition in the Mesnerhaus, after which Anton Bruckner’s favorite dishes were sampled in the Schwechaterhof accompanied by Schrammel music.
On Saturday, Tourism Director Eva Pötzl invited the ambassadors to the “get together” reception at the Stadthotel Styria on the town square. The highlight of the day was the visit to Richard O’Brien’s “The Rocky Horror Show” as part of the Steyr Music Festival. City Councilor Judith Ringer took a lot of time to talk to the guests and said goodbye to them after a special tour of the Innerberger Stadel on Sunday. The Steyr ambassadors were very impressed by the wide range of offerings and the warmth of the hosts and are looking forward to the next meeting in August 2025.
