He Mexican Institute of Cinematography (Imcine) will offer a special program to celebrate the Mexican Cinema Daywhich is commemorated on August 15 of each year.
From August 15 to 31, 2024 the public will be able to enjoy 47 movies for free: 24 short films (divided into four programs) and 23 feature films.
The institution detailed that this edition of the Mexican Cinema Day will arrive at 54 cinemas in 23 states of the countryincluding some of the exhibition spaces that have received support from the Mexican Film Promotion Program (Focine).
The celebration will take place in Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosi, Veracruz and Yucatan.

National Film Archive of the Arts also celebrates his birthday
In the case of the National Film Archive of the Artsthe programming will be available from August 16 to 22 with free performances to also celebrate its first anniversary, since it was inaugurated on August 15, 2023.
Six of the 12 rooms at the Cineteca Nacional de las Artes are dedicated to screening Mexican cinema, so more than 300 national films have been shown in one year.
In addition, this celebration will reach the entire country, through national television stations, including the MX channel Our Cinema (signal 22.2) and the online platform of Imcine, nuestrocine.mx
