Stefanos Kasselakis was informed about the situation prevailing on the fronts of Attica, the efforts made by the firefighters, volunteers and all the agencies involved, by Civil Protection officers and executives, during his earlier visit to the Civil Protection coordination office.
According to the relevant announcement of the party, the president of SYRIZA PS expressed the respect and appreciation of the official opposition for the self-sacrifice of the firefighters who fight this unequal battle with the flames.
Leaving the building, Mr. Kasselakis stated: “Obviously now is not the time to talk about any shortcomings that have literally brought this fire to Athens. To wish good strength to all those who are on the front line and to encourage all our fellow citizens to participate in the voluntary actions to provide relief to our affected fellow citizens. Good strength over here in the service, good strength to the entire Civil Protection”.
Mr. Kasselakis was accompanied by East Attica Member of Parliament Giorgos Karameros and the Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Department of SYRIZA-PS, Symeon Kedikoglou.
