The alcohol tests of two truck drivers showed 1.09 and 1.11 per mille during checks by officers from the Gau-Bickelheim police motorway station. On Sunday evening, at the end of the weekend driving ban, they carried out departure checks at the Wonnegau-West petrol station and rest area. The two truckers now have to wait until the morning hours of Monday until they are sufficiently sober to continue their journey. The officers recorded a report for a violation of the Compulsory Insurance Act in the case of another truck driver who was driving around the petrol station and rest area on an uninsured but compulsory insured e-scooter. In total, the officers checked 32 truck drivers for their roadworthiness. The fact that ultimately only the two drivers were conspicuous is a positive result for this evening.
