At the Disney, Pixar D23 convention unveiled a teaser pour Toy Story 5 and it turns out there is a connection to the Apple Watch. Indeed, the elements broadcast are not new, but have been available with watchOS 4 since… 2017.
The Apple Watch offers several watch faces to allow users to have some customization and one of them features characters from the movies. Toy Storyincluding Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie. Each time, they are short videos on Apple’s smartwatch.
It turns out that the teaser for Toy Story 5 includes exactly the same animations, as can be seen in the video below. It would have been nice to have something new, but Pixar decided to recycle here.

Toy Story 5 will be released in theaters on June 17, 2026 and will be written and directed by Andrew Stanton. He helped write the screenplay for the first four films. Toy Storyas well as Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, WALL-E, 1,001 Legs or even Monsters Inc.. He also directed some of the films on this list, including WALL-E.
On the other hand, a poster of Toy Story signed by Steve Jobs was sold at auction in 2019. The final price was $31,250.
