Lyd & Bilde have already written about it several times, but now the Americans are also starting to open their eyes to TCL’s latest creation. The new models were NXTFRAME and NXTFRAME Pro officially launched in the US this week, as a direct competitor to Samsung The Frame.
TCL NXTFRAME and NXTFRAME Pro
The American model of the TCL NXTFRAME is similar to the Chinese model we wrote about a few weeks ago, and it has a 4K QLED LCD screen with LED edge lighting, a variable refresh rate of 144hz and support for video formats such as Dolby Vision and HDR10 +. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are supported on the sound side.
The NXTFRAME is available in the US in four screen sizes: 55-inch ($1,500), 65-inch ($2,000) and 75-inch ($2,500), and a larger 85-inch model is expected in the -September for $4,000. The prices are comparable to what the latest version of Samsung’s Frame TV (LS03D) costs in the US.
TCL is also launching a more expensive series – NXTRAME Pro – in the same dimensions, which starts at 2000 US dollars, and this one comes with the designated sound bar from Bang & Olufsen. Specifically, a 3.1.2 channel sound bar with a wireless subwoofer.
Sweet music between B&O and TCL
Now it’s official: The new design TV from TCL – with sound from Bang & Olufsen – will arrive in 2024.
Comes with included frame, wall mount and built-in connectors
The TCL NXTFRAME TV is white on the outside, but it is also provided with a three-color light frame that is attached with magnets. In addition, it comes with a “Flush Wall Mount” for mounting on the wall. Image features include a free art library, an AI Art feature and a personal photo gallery.
It is also worth noting that the NXTFRAME has internal connections directly in the screen – ie there is no separate One Connect Box with a razor-thin signal and power supply, as Samsung The Frame comes with.
The US version of NXTFRAME can also be supplied with a stylish floor plinth with wheels as an additional option. Therefore, we may expect a similar situation on the European model, which is expected to be launched IFA Berlin September.
Americans who shell out for TCL’s new 115-inch TV get an extra experience with the purchase.
