A plane with 62 people on board crashed on the outskirts of the city of Viñedo, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The twin-engine ATR-72 of the Voepass company was flying from Cascavel in the state of Paraná to Guarulos Airport in Sao Paulo.
According to a Voepass announcement, 58 travelers and 4 crew members were on board the fatal aircraft.
So far there is no information about any survivors. In the images from the scene of the air tragedy, thick smoke can be seen rising into the sky from the place where the aircraft crashed.

“VOEPASS Linhas Aéreas reports the occurrence of an accident with flight 2283 – airplane PS-VPB, this Friday, August 9, in the area of Vinhedo-SP.
The aircraft took off from Cascavel-PR bound for Guarulhos airport, with 58 passengers and 4 crew. VOEPASS uses all means to support those involved. There is no word yet on how the accident happened or the current condition of the occupants.
The Company provides information to all passengers, family members and its employees by calling 0800 9419712, available 24 hours a day.’
