/ world today news/ “Prime Minister Boyko Borisov must respond to the presented facts, because issues related to national security are affected. And he doesn’t say anything. Why? We are waiting for answers from him”. This was stated by the People’s Representative and spokesperson of the PG of “BSP for Bulgaria” Elena Yoncheva after the presentation of her film “Border” in Burgas. She pointed out that a copy of the film was provided to the Prime Minister, as well as to the President Rumen Radev, the Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov and the ambassadors of the EU member states in Bulgaria, reported the press center of the BSP.
Yoncheva visited the seaside town at the invitation of her colleagues Eng. Petar Kanev, Nikolay Tishev and Todor Baichev, who respected the screening. Among those present were also the municipal chairman of BSP-Burgas Zhivko Gospodinov, the regional chairman of BSP-Burgas Stoyko Tankov and the regional chairman of the OJS in BSP-Burgas Tinka Zhelyazkova.
Valery Simeonov defined the film as boring. However, he is not a film critic, but a deputy prime minister”, commented Elena Yoncheva. She also stated that this topic is just a small lift of the curtain related to corruption, with the refugee channels, related to how the border is secured. “I am raising the topic of how much Border Police officers are involved in this refugee channel, how much the state patronizes refugee channels. The main issue is the corruption in the construction of this facility, not whether the fence falls due to various weather conditions. It is about the fact that people stole from this fence and this is at the expense of the functions of this facility, because it is passed extremely quickly and easily, literally in minutes,” Yoncheva said.
The monitoring information system has not been working for more than two and a half years, and this is known by the authorities. “The question is why it doesn’t work. And when we have this combination between an inefficient facility for which we paid BGN 200 million and it does not perform its deterrent function, and at the same time the monitoring system does not work effectively, then we ask ourselves the question “Who is this profitable?” Why does this happen? Is it laziness and unprofessionalism or is it a purposeful policy? This is the question that I ask and we are looking for an answer from the authorities”, added Elena Yoncheva. She informed that a report was submitted to the prosecutor’s office and DANS on June 9 and it is being considered. This affair is currently under investigation. “It is another question whether there will be political will to announce who stole the money from all of us, at the expense of our national security,” Yoncheva also commented.
