A woman accused of pushing two tourists has pleaded not guilty

The woman accused of pushing two Mexican tourists onto subway tracks has pleaded not guilty in Manhattan court.

Ebony Butts faces charges of reckless endangerment and first and second degree assault.

According to authorities, the unprovoked attack happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Monday at the Delancey Street and Essex Street station.

There, Butts pushed the women onto the train tracks before a passer-by helped free them to safety.

Investigators say both victims suffered severe pain, cuts and bruises.

Butts has been arrested eight times since 2006, at least three of them for assault.

He is currently in jail without bail.
