On August 9, 2024, the highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel “It Ends with Us” will premiere, starring Blake Lively. The film was directed by Justin Baldoni.

Blake Lively plays Lily Blooma young woman who, after a difficult childhood, starts a new life by opening a flower shop in Boston. Her paths cross with Ryle Kincaid (played by Justin Baldoni), a neurosurgeon with whom she quickly shares feelings.
The trailer shows their love blossoming to the tune of Taylor Swift’s song „My Tears Ricochet”before also showing the impact of Ryle’s abuse on their relationship. “Fifteen seconds. That’s all it takes for everything to change forever,” Lily says in the trailer.
Colleen Hoover, the author of the book, admitted that she was inspired by the story of her mother, who escaped domestic violence. In one key moment in the trailer, Lily asks Ryle what he would tell his daughter if she came to him with news that the person she loved was hurting her.
Scenes are also shown in which Lily reunites with her childhood love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar)seeking support from him.
The cast of “It Ends With Us” also includes Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj and Amy Morton.
