The 2003 Polish individual time trial champion collapsed on Wednesday during training. Unfortunately, he could not be saved.
The portal “Życie Kalisza” reported the sudden death of one of the best players in the history of the KTK Kalisz team. 47-year-old Tomasz Lisowicz continued to train cycling, but for recreational purposes. Unfortunately, during Wednesday’s training he suddenly fainted and despite the rapid resuscitation, his life could not be saved.
– Tomek is a product of our club. He is considered one of the best players in the club’s history. He began his rich career in KKS Włókniarz Kalisz, later he represented KKS Hellena Kalisz, KTK Kalisz and KTK Winiary Kalisz. He is my age, we have known each other for many years, probably since we were 12, so it is difficult for me to come to terms with what happened. Tomek has always been very helpful and kind, also during sports competitions. He had great talent, but he never put himself forward, he supported his teammates and had respect for his rivals.

Tomasz Lisowicz’s greatest achievement was the gold medal in the Polish Championships in individual time trial, which he won in 2003. He also won the Andrzej Trochanowski Memorial and the Szlakiem walki majora Hubala race.
