The 81st edition of the Tour de Pologne will begin on August 12th – the largest race in Central and Eastern Europe, part of the UCI World Tour, the cycling champions league. The best cyclists from all over the world will set off from Wrocław, to reach Kraków after 7 days and 7 stages. Energa is the official sponsor of the 81st Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour.
The 81st edition of the largest annual sports event in our part of Europe will take place in a seven-stage formula with a total distance of 1036.2 km. The Tour de Pologne will start on August 12 in the capital of Lower Silesia at the famous Centennial Hall. This year’s edition will feature 22 cycling teams, including the Polish national team. The competition will traditionally last 7 days and will end on the Krakow Błonia.
– In the beginning there are goals and dreams, and then hard work. Step by step we built the Tour de Pologne and today it is Poland’s showcase in the world. With our television coverage we reach all continents, over 100 countries, and the elite of world cycling takes part in the race – says Czeslaw LangGeneral Director of the Tour de Pologne. – Organizationally, we have already reached a level where we can enjoy the support of such concerns as the Energa Group. On the last day of the competition, we will find out the winners of the individual classifications, including: the general ORLEN and the best sprinter Energa Grupa Orlen. The white jersey with the Energa logo is a trophy that will be worn by the leader of the sprinter classification. The winner of the points classification will be the rider who scores the highest number of points at the finish line of all stages of the race. The first 20 cyclists in each stage score points, according to the scheme: the first receives 20 points, the second – 19 points, the twentieth – 1 point. Energa is also the sponsor of the classification for the best Pole of the 81st Tour de Pologne.

Incredible cycling energy will flow through the streets and routes, including Lower Silesia. It is here that Energa has the Oława II hydroelectric power plant, and next year, in the Głogów district, Energa’s currently largest photovoltaic farm will be built – PV Kotla, which will be able to power over 60 thousand households.
