In 2020, the start of the cooperation between LEGO and IKEA was a small sensation for many LEGO fans, but unfortunately it remained in its infancy. Now IKEA has been running a sale for LEGO x IKEA products called “BYGGLEK” for a few days now.which we would like to point out here, as it can be wonderfully combined with a promotion at IKEA, with which you can receive your order free of shipping costs.
The sale is still running until 10 August and is valid in the IKEA online shop as well as in the local furniture stores. If you buy products from IKEA that qualify for parcel delivery with a purchase value of at least 50 euros, you will also receive your order free shipping delivered to your home. Especially for LEGO fans who SAMLA boxes with lid to sort their stones, this is a good opportunity to order some of the transparent boxes as well.
We were able to introduce you to the IKEA BYGGLEK LEGO boxes in July 2020 a few months in advance in a detailed LEGO x IKEA boxes review here on the blog, after they had been on the shelves at IKEA in Mannheim a few months too early, even though the products were not due to be launched until October 2020.
Since the BYGGLEK boxes came onto the market, IKEA has increased their prices. Nevertheless, the 50% discount is significantly lower than what the boxes cost when they were introduced. We have listed the three offers below, including the RRP and the introductory price at the time:
- BYGGLEK LEGO box with lid, 35x26x12 cm for 9.99 euros
(RRP: 19.99.99 Euro, introductory price: 14.99 Euro) - BYGGLEK LEGO box with lid, 26x18x12 cm for 8.49 euros
(RRP: 16.99 euros, introductory price: 12.99 euros) - BYGGLEK LEGO box with lid set of 3 for 7.49 euros
(RRP: 14.99 euros, introductory price: 9.99 euros)
We have attached some pictures from our previous review of the BYGGLEK boxes.
After the boxes came onto the market, Jonas and I built a model of a refrigerator out of one of the small boxes, the picture of which we would like to include below:
Many thanks to Lepa and Felix, who informed us about the campaign in the past few days – today I finally got around to passing it on to our readers!
Do you use the LEGO x IKEA BYGGLEK boxes? What do you think of the customizable boxes? Do you use other IKEA products to sort your LEGO bricks? Feel free to share your thoughts on the current campaign in the comments.
