CB Malayalam is a popular director of Malayalees. Devadoothan was Mohanlal’s film directed by him. This movie was released recently. Cibi Malail answers the question about which film he would like to bring back to theaters like Devduthan. He was speaking in an interview with Wonderwall Media Network. CB Malal says he wants to re-release his own Mohanlal films Dasharath and Sadayam.
“I want to bring back the films that people couldn’t see in the theaters in the past. And so it is with Devaduta. But it doesn’t matter that the films that were successful then are being re-released today. Because these movies are popular now and then. Here are the movies that got hype that day.
Meanwhile, two films were mostly not accepted. One of them is Dasharatha. Another one is Sadayam. Both of these films were later discussed as cult classics. The new generation is talking about these films very well. These movies are likely to be released again. But I don’t know how much it will be possible. There are many technical limitations.
Now seeing the success of Devdoothan, many people have started thinking about the remake. It is doubtful whether it can be made in good quality. Because it is difficult to include my films like Sadayam and Dasaratha in such quality as Devduthan. Devduthan’s quality is truly a benchmark,’ said CB Malail.
