Author of one of the goals in the friendly match against Chelsea, the Madrilenian Brahim Diaz answered questions after the match.

We’re a team. There’s no internal rivalry, but you have to give your best for your teammates and for the best club in the world. Last year was a brutal season and I want to do better. Mbappé is one of the best in the world, without a doubt, and he’ll bring us a lot. I’m very excited about him, as is the rest of the dressing room. Ancelotti is happy with me, and so am I. That’s what it’s all about, giving your best for the club.”
Your versatility, an asset for you: “It can help me, yes, to be able to play in different positions. Wherever the coach puts me, I will give my all. I always have and I will continue to do so. It is about giving my all so that Real continue to make history. I will always be ready and happy to continue at the best club in the world. Work quietly, work hard, and the rest will come.”

What do you think when people see you as a good super-sub: “I contribute as much as I can. I always try to be ready, whether it’s to play 90 minutes, 60, 30, 20… The important thing is always to help the team. So far, we’ve been doing that. We’ve won important titles and that’s what I remember. We’re a family here and we all pull together, as always, to do my bit by scoring goals and providing assists. Obviously, we always want to play, I want to do better than last year, by playing as many minutes as possible. It’s a dream to be here.”
You are like a big brother to Güler, how do you find him? “I am a brother to him as he is to me. We get along very well. He is a brutal talent, I am sure he will bring us a lot. Our relationship is very good, we are almost always together. He has an incredible present and future ahead of him.”
How have you found Endrick in the first few weeks and which player do you compare him to? “I’m not one to compare, everyone has to have their own personality and give the best version of themselves, that’s the most important thing. The one who is in Madrid is there because he deserves it, it’s the best club in the world. Endrick is a special talent, he has a brutal power at the start. He will bring us a lot. I have good legs, but he even more. I was surprised.”
What does it mean to see so many Real fans here in the USA: “The Madrid fans are incredible. Wherever we go, they fill the stadiums and we are very grateful for their affection. This club is universal. We are a team and it shows everywhere we go.”
What do you remember from this pre-season: “Fitness and continuing to work, because now comes the best and most important thing.”
The Golden Ball : “I would give it to anyone in the team. Kroos too, he’s a legend. You won’t get me wrong… Carvajal too, he’s won everything, why not? To any Real player.”
The European Championship: “I was obviously happy, how could I not be. And very happy. The rest is history, they had an incredible European Championship, they deserved it. I congratulated my teammates.”
