Panagiotis Simandirakis, who was re-elected mayor of Chania from the first Sunday with 66%, is getting married on August 16 to the chosen one of his heart, Anna Benioudakis. The best man will be the regional governor of Crete, Stavros Arnautakis, and half of the candidate presidents of PaSoK, among others, will be in attendance.
His friend from the PaSoK Youth years, Nikos Androulakis, has the invitation card in his hands. Anna Diamantopoulou, with whom he has close family relations, will also be there, while Pavlos Geroulanos is also expected to be in Chania to wish the couple. At the same time, all the MPs of Crete who were elected with the PASOK ballot have been invited along with self-governing agents and Central Committee officials from every corner of the country.
The wedding will be more like a conference, say those who know people and situations in Crete, and this is because the 42-year-old groom has a party track and self-governing presence for decades.
