An engineer who enjoys popularizing mathematical concepts on TikTok comes to a surprising conclusion regarding the story of Anthony Ammirati.

We remember that the French pole vaulter became an international celebrity at the end of last week after failing a jump because his phallus got caught in the horizontal bar set at 5.70m.

In his video, which has already been viewed nearly 3 million times, TikToker Matt Math explains whether or not the impact on Ammirati’s penis was painful.
Surprisingly, it seems that the crash looked worse than it actually was.

“I’ll tell you why he was able to get back on his feet immediately after,” Matt Math says in his video.
Comparing the pole vaulter to a projectile, the video creator says that the athlete’s trajectory, during a jump, is comparable to a parabola.
“And the cool thing about parabolas is that you can tell how fast an object is going, based on where it is,” Math adds.
Since Ammirati’s penis has just cleared the metal bar when the impact occurs, its downward velocity is almost zero.

And since it is the velocity of the impact that determines the force of the impact, we can deduce that Ammirati’s member hit the bar with very little force.
“Even though he weighs something like 180 to 200 pounds, he probably didn’t feel a lot of force on his boyfriend here. I think he experienced it as a good slap on the penis,” Matt Math said.
He concluded his video by saying he was happy that Ammirati was not competing in the 110-meter hurdles.
It would have hurt him more.
