Calling BIAS, following vaccination and population clock, Shinta Nana wants to ‘sweep’

Hello SEMARANG – The Central Java Regional Government has launched School Child Immunization Month (BIAS), Catch Up Immunization and Population Clock activities with the BKKBN. The activity was done at Wisma Peace Building, Semarang, on Wednesday (7/8/2024).

The Head of the Regional Health Service of Central Java (Dinkes), Yunita Dyah Suminar, said in Presidential Decree 72 of 2021, the National Strategy (Stranas) in efforts to accelerate mass reduction, one of which is getting vaccinated full basic for children under five years of age. old

He said that the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the implementation of routine vaccines not being able to run at their best. Data from the past few years show a significant decline in routine vaccination coverage, both primary and follow-up vaccination.

“We will see the impact of this reduction in coverage from the increase in the number of PD3I (Vaccine Preventable Disease) cases, and the incidence of PD3I Special Events (KLB), such as measles, rubella and diphtheria , in several areas,” Yunita said.

According to him, an important effort to eradicate Measles-Rubella / CRS, apart from strengthening routine vaccination, is by providing additional Measles-Rubella vaccine. He explained, in addition, that the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine was also made to prevent breast cancer, and regardless of the previous vaccination status for the priority targets that were determined.

Yunita said that in order to prevent the outbreak of PD3I, there is a need for integrated collaborative efforts, which can harmonize additional vaccination and containment activities, to close the immunity gap in the community. These efforts are carried out through BIAS activities.

BIAS activities, he explained, are efforts to provide routine immunization in an integrated manner, including additional immunization activities in the form of administering a single dose of measles-rubella vaccine en masse , regardless of previous vaccination status to target primary school level 1 (SD) children and similar.

In addition, BIAS activities also include additional immunization activities in the form of providing a single dose of HPV vaccine, which is given to target girls in grades 5 and 6 of the primary school, or similar. Not only that, BIAS also includes additional immunization activities in the form of providing one dose of DT vaccine for targets in stage 1 of primary school and the like, and immunization Page for all children in grades 2 and 5 in primary school or equivalent.

“People can take advantage of that. “The children can be told how to follow,” Yunita said.

For complete basic vaccination, he explained, his party is trying to accelerate the achievement of targets through the Kejar vaccine.

“This is really our effort to educate the public about vaccination. Because PD3I actually exists. “If (the child) gets the vaccine, the hope is that the child will not get the disease,” he said.

Central Java PKK Mobilization Team Chairman, Shinta Nana Sudjana, said that BIAS is a national operation, including providing vaccinations for primary school/MI level children, which will be carried out in two once a year, that is in August for measles Rubella (MR). and HPV vaccine; and in November for DT and TD vaccination.

“The achievement of total basic immunization (IDL) through the Sehat Indonesiaku Application (Asik) online report from January-June 2024 only reached 38.62%, and only five provinces/cities have achieved the IDL target, namely that of Batang Regency, Semarang. City, Kota Tegal, Demak Regency and Salatiga City,” he said.

For areas/cities that did not reach the target, Shinta called for catch and sweep vaccinations. At the same time, the vaccination performance for primary school children in Central Java in 2023 has reached the target of over 95%.

He said that vaccination can run well and be successful if there is room for support and help from different parties, both from government and non-government sectors, NGOs and work partners.

“For this reason, I want us all to work together to make BIAS and Kejar Immunization a success, collaborating with BKKBN through the Cloc an t’Sluaigh innovation, which focuses on the vision of the community and policy makers to increase population-oriented development,” he said. said.

It was explained that the Central Java Province PKK Movement Team is ready to support all efforts to make children healthy through the immunization program and the innovation of the People’s Clock. Shinta also hopes that the Regency/City Level PKK Mobilization Team throughout Central Java will get involved, in cooperation with related departments, so that they can continue to provide support to make the program a success. .

Deputy Director for Crowd Control at BKKBN RI Bonivasius Prasetya Ichtiarto said that the topic of the People’s Clock was raised so that the public would at least know about the crowd. If you already know, additional issues can be included, such as education, health, stunting, and others.

“When society, including the government, begins to care about population issues, when they plan development in their own areas, population becomes a key issue. “Because residents are both objects and subjects of development,” said Bonivasius.

On this occasion, Shinta Sudjana observed the activities of BIAS. Shinta was seen encouraging the children not to worry or fear.

“It’s normal, it doesn’t hurt. Don’t cry. “His job is to prevent breast cancer,” said Amira Azalea Febiyanti, a student at SDN Pleburan 02 Semarang (HS).
