Canelo Alvarez warns about Edgar Berlanga’s confidence

Mexican boxer and former undisputed super middleweight champion, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, launched a dart against Edgar Berlanga in the face of the constant boasts he has made about what he has prepared against the Guadalajara native for the fight that will take place next Saturday, September 14, at the T-Mobile Arena in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada, where they intend to turn boxing into one of the greatest sporting representations on the planet.

In statements offered to ESPN, the Aztec fighter considered that Berlanga has said a lot that he will defeat him easily and throughout his career he has learned that those who talk too much always end up being the ones affected by his blows; he maintained that this fight will not be the exception and he will show all his qualities to take the victory.

“It will end with mariachi. We have always known that those who talk a lot are those who do the least, we have to wait until September 14 to see what it brings, I know he is a strong fighter, but this is nothing new for me,” said Canelo in his statements about everything Berlanga has said in recent days.

“In the history of boxing, Mexico against Puerto Rico has always been a huge rivalry. I have had several fights against Puerto Ricans and I feel very excited. “I love having the opportunity to fight on such important dates for Mexicans,” concluded the Mexican fighter.

The fight has been highly questioned by various fighters and former figures of world boxing such as David Benavídez, who said that Berlanga does not have the capabilities to be a real opponent for Canelo Álvarez.

This will be the first fight for the Mexican boxer after losing his unified super middleweight title following the decision of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to strip him of his belt for not accepting the mandatory fight they had stipulated for him and then announcing that Berlanga would be his next opponent.
