It is Monday evening, 7 p.m., when a female driver is driving on Rainstrasse in the direction of Eschenbach. In the Isenringen area, the car veers off the right side of the road and collides with the curve guard, according to the Lucerne police. The oil pan on the car is torn off. After more than 130 meters, the car comes to a stop on the grass.

The driver sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital by ambulance for a check-up. A breath alcohol test showed a value of around 1.7 per mille. A rapid drug test also showed a positive result. Therefore, a blood and urine sample was ordered.

Kilos of earth have to be removed because of an accident

The 37-year-old woman’s driving license will be blocked. She is no longer allowed to drive a motor vehicle until the Road Traffic Office makes a decision.

Due to the oil pollution, the soil must be removed over a length of more than 100 meters. The material damage cannot yet be quantified. The Oberseetal fire department and the Environment and Energy Department are on site to investigate and clear the accident site.
