Gimont. Maison Pep’s: workshops for seniors’ health

Designed in an educational manner, these workshops are led by health professionals, specialized in physical activity. An interactive method that combines scientific content, practical advice and friendliness.

The program includes 2 individual test sessions, 25 group sessions of one to one and a half hours, at the rate of one session per week, and an individual coaching session at home. They are organized in groups of 10 to 15 people and are completely free (funded by pension funds).

Workshop content: 2 individual test sessions allowing the facilitator to adapt to your level, but also to assess the progress made. 25 group sessions with gentle gymnastics exercises to train muscle fitness, improve flexibility, motor skills, coordination, and balance. Learn the gestures that prevent falls by reducing gravity and learn how to get up in the event of a fall.

During these sessions, 5 will be completed by a discussion around behaviors that promote fall prevention. You will be encouraged to complete the 25 individual sessions at home, using resource sheets, and a coaching session with the facilitator.

Remember to wear comfortable clothing to perform easy movements, but also to commit to following all of the sessions.

The sessions will take place on Tuesdays, from September 24 to April 29, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
