Betis have officially signed Ricardo Rodríguez for the next two seasons. The left-back, who is a Swiss international and played at the last European Championship, will strengthen Manuel Pellegrini’s team with his experience and leadership. The Chilean wants to bring more quality to his squad and to cover various positions in his defence, although he is mainly coming to compete with Perraud on the left flank.
Ricardo Rodríguez is 31 years old and arrives at Heliópolis at a mature stage. There were several options for his future on the table, but the player was attracted by the Betis project and the role he can play under Pellegrini. After finishing his contract with Torino, the player was free on the market and thus the Betis club does not have to assume any transfer fee to have him in its current squad.

The footballer arrived in Malaga this morning and later travelled to Marbella to wait for the Betis team, which is currently on the Costa del Sol to prepare the final details for the start of the season. The Betis club is still very much alive in the market, especially after learning that Germán Pezzella will sign for River Plate and will leave more needs in the back line.
