06 August 2024, 10:16

Winterthur – Two and a half days, 2,000 motivated participants, 250 top-class speakers, two main programs, 15 innovation forums and three on-site company visits: The 12th Swiss Green Economy Symposium SGES will take place in Winterthur from August 27 to 29, 2024. It is the most comprehensive conference on business and sustainability in Switzerland. This year, the SGES is focusing on the crucial question: How can we resolve conflicts more quickly and effectively for the benefit of people and the environment through improved cooperation?

Since 2013, the Swiss Green Economy Symposium has been using concrete examples to show how cooperation between business, politics, science and NGOs can contribute to greater prosperity, environmental protection and a more peaceful coexistence. Solutions are discussed and recipes for success shared. The symposium inspires its participants – decision-makers, implementers and innovators – to take concrete action.

The motto of the Swiss Green Economy Symposium 2024 is: «Solving conflicts together»: How can we put our goals into action together? The Swiss Green Economy Symposium offers a uniquely comprehensive platform to discuss these questions, exchange ideas and promote partnerships.

The SGES starts in the afternoon of Tuesday, August 27with the SGEXperience (company visits). The companies Burckhardt Compression, Stadler Rail and Zimmer Biomet open their doors to the participants and present their efforts for a more sustainable future. At the Grüze innovation laboratory in the city of Winterthur, there will be a joint closing event with a networking aperitif. In the evening, there will be a discussion on the topic of sustainable supply chains at the international pre-event.

How can we implement the circular economy, e.g. with batteries? How do you secure supply chains against risks? In the afternoon, key sustainability topics will be explored and discussed in more detail in eight specialist conferences (innovation forums), e.g. digitization of the healthcare system, climate protection in companies, or circular economy in construction.

Am Thursday, August 29top-class experts will discuss the following topics in the main program: How can we build and live sustainably and healthily?
