The aim of the partnership is to “better coordinate medical and nursing services and thus optimize patient pathways,” as the two companies wrote in a joint statement.
In the future, patients from the Emmental region will have easier access to the “highly specialised medicine of the Lindenhof Group”, the statement continued.
After an acute intervention at the Lindenhof Group, patients will be guaranteed rapid follow-up care close to home at the Burgdorf and Langnau locations of the Emmental Hospital, it said.
In addition, the two companies want to drive digitalization “along the patient path.” The aim is to promote the “timely exchange of treatment-relevant data,” which should be accessible regardless of time and location.
The Lindenhof Group and the Emmental Hospital already work together in the fields of orthopedics and urology.
The Lindenhof Group operates three hospitals in the city of Bern: Engeried, Lindenhof and Sonnenhof. The Emmental Hospital has locations in Burgdorf and Langnau.
