On Tuesday morning, there was a serious traffic accident in Haid. A 45-year-old woman crashed into a traffic light pole. She was flown to hospital with serious injuries

The 45-year-old from the Wels-Land district was driving her car along the B1 Wiener Bundesstraße from Wels towards Linz. In the Haid area, for reasons that are still unclear, her passenger side collided with the steel mast of a traffic light, causing her to be thrown into the oncoming lane. A witness observed the accident and immediately provided first aid until the emergency helicopter “Christophorus 10” arrived. The accident victim was flown to hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed for around 45 minutes and traffic had to be diverted locally.
