Madrid. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace of the Government of Venezuela reported this Sunday the seizure of a total of 156 pieces of war weapons that were going to be used for “violent actions against the people.”
The arsenal also contained more than 6,000 units of ammunition of different calibres, the ministry said in a message posted on the social network X. There were also two bulletproof vests, a riot helmet and a laptop.
The weapons were found on Saturday on Avenida Presidente Medina in the Venezuelan capital in an operation resulting from intelligence work by the Bolivarian National Police (PNB).
“Thanks to the work of our officers from the public security agencies, a significant shipment of firearms has been seized that would be used to carry out violent actions against the people,” denounced the Vice President of the Sector for Public Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos Ichaso.

In addition, Ceballos has highlighted the “perfect civil-military-police union” that is “countering all the attempts and pretensions of a coup d’état against President Nicolás Maduro.”
Last Thursday, the discovery of another arsenal containing more than 200 parts and pieces of weapons of war from the United States was reported.
